NGA LICENSING STANDARD / ENFORCEMENT

The licence remains conditional every day.

Approval begins supervision. The licensed entity, service and listed domains remain subject to reporting, surveillance, testing, corrective action and public verification throughout the licence cycle.

PERIODIC

Scheduled reporting

Financial, player-liability, complaints, responsible-gaming, AML, security, supplier and operational information at the frequency set for the licence risk profile.

EVENT-DRIVEN

Material change notice

Advance notice or approval where required for ownership, directors, domains, markets, platforms, wallets, providers, payments, hosting or other material architecture.

URGENT

Critical incident reporting

Initial notice within 24 hours for a material player-funds, game-integrity, security, sanctions, exclusion, supplier or continuity event, followed by evidence and updates.

INDEPENDENT

Scheduled and unannounced checks

Controlled production journeys, record requests, complaint-led review, technical sampling and other proportionate tests without a requirement to pre-notify the operator.

Proportionate action, immediate protection where necessary.

01

Observation or improvement

Tracked enhancement with an accountable owner and due date.

02

Formal corrective action

Mandatory remediation, evidence submission and verified closure.

03

Licence condition

Restriction on domain, market, supplier, product or operation until controls are proven.

04

Interim suspension

Immediate invalidation of the active mark where players, evidence or public reliance require protection before final decision.

05

Revocation or refusal of renewal

Termination of certified status and public register update following the controlled decision process.

06

Public integrity notice

Evidence-led notice identifying the domain, verified issue, scope, status and operator response where publication is necessary and fair.

The mark is removed when its conditions are no longer true.

  • Counterfeit, altered, unlicensed or misrepresented games
  • Interference with outcomes, wallets, rounds or settlements
  • Systemic non-payment or a player-funds shortfall
  • False applications, fabricated records or concealed facts
  • Material AML, sanctions or fraud-control failure
  • Knowingly permitting minors or self-excluded players
  • Serving prohibited territories contrary to licence conditions
  • Concealing a material security or integrity incident
  • Insolvency or inability to meet player liabilities
  • Obstruction, retaliation or destruction of evidence
  • Failure to remediate a mandatory finding by its deadline
  • Unapproved material change to control, scope or suppliers
  • Copied, misleading or unauthorised use of the NGA mark
  • Conduct fundamentally inconsistent with fitness and propriety

Rigid does not mean arbitrary.

NGA records the allegation, preserves evidence, defines the applicable control and ordinarily gives the operator a reasonable opportunity to respond. An immediate protective suspension may precede that response where delay would expose players, evidence or the public to material risk.

Staff may investigate and recommend. The owner records the final approval, rejection, suspension, revocation or appeal decision with reasons. An appeal must identify a material factual, procedural or evidential error; it is not a second application and does not automatically stay protective action.
